Jo’s coaching since Regional Bee Inspector began in April 2015 using National Bee Inspector Andy Wattam – that can be a continuous development programme — even though she’s taken over Managerial Responsibility for the Area and its own group of Six Seasonally Employed Bee Inspectors.
Jo resides from the village of Whixall at North Shropshire and was a beekeeper for 20 decades. She has worked as a Seasonal Bee Inspector at Staffordshire and Shropshire and is well known to many apiculturists in those areas.
In addition to conducting 30 colonies of bees Jo has also analyzed the BBKA modules and functional examinations and has been granted the Wax Chandlers Prize at 2011 for greatest Master Beekeeper qualifying this year. In her previous life Jo worked as a Client Services Manager for businesses such as Apple Computers Inc., Federal Express and Symantec. Jo and her husband own and operate a 23 acre smallholding comprising of cows , pigs and suckler cows.
Commenting on the appointment Jo stated: ”I’m excited to take on the job and look forward to working together with all the Beekeepers and Bee Inspectors from the Western England Region and continuing the Exceptional job done by Charles Millar”
